Book Reviews of No, David!

Book Review: Very endearing book!
Summary: 5 Stars

I had a gift certificate to spend and I wasn't sure what to buy. Then I saw this book! I was immediately smitten with the comical drawings and situations this character could get in, and it reminds me of the dialogue that often goes on in our house! I look forward to reading it to my son, who is also named David. I think as he gets older it will be neat to have a book "named" after him and I anticipate buying others in the series. I especially love the ending. Very sweet!

Book Review: We Love David!
Summary: 5 Stars

My 18 month old daughter loves to see David misbehave-- and what happens to him. She constantly points out things throughout the day that David might do-- and stops herself from doing them. Books aren't going to teach kids bad behavior-- modeling that behavior for them will! I have no concerns about this book teaching kids how to act out inappropriately.

Book Review: We all choose it first at storytime!
Summary: 5 Stars

My 3 1/2 year old (named David) thinks he can read it, my 1 1/2 (who acts like David) repeats it all day, and my husband and I love to read it. From the day we brough this book home, it has evoked nothing but giggles and hugs at the end. We especially love that this child acts like the majority of normal toddlers that we know, the Mother reacts like the majority of mothers we know and the ending (again like real life) shows that your parents love you whether you are good or naughty.

Book Review: We all love No, David!
Summary: 5 Stars

I absolutely LOVE No, David! The story is very simple but it is exciting to read and the illustrations are hillarious! David is a little boy who seems to always be getting in trouble. From getting into the cookie jar, to overflowing the bathtub, and finally playing baseball in the house, David is full of mischief. But he is also full of love, and so is his mom when she is able to finally catch him in a quiet moment. My favorite part is when David dresses up as a super hero- he reminds me of my crazy brother. You should DEFINATELY read this book, I love it and so do my 2nd graders!!

Book Review: We love "No, David!"
Summary: 5 Stars

As a kindergarten teacher I have had to buy a new copy of this book each year because my students love "No, David!" so much that by the end of the year they have read it to the pages are literally falling out. They seem to relate to David throughout the story and love the wonderful illustrations and simple text. They laugh throughout the book and especially on the page when David is in his underwear. This is a great book for any elementary classroom and fun to read at home too.
