Book Reviews of Noah's ArkBook Review: Colorful and entertaining Summary: 4 Stars
We have read this book to our six month old son since the day he was born. It is so colorful he is always entranced. I was amazed at how many animals Cousins was able to fit into so few pages. As he gets older it will be fun to teach him to recognize and name the animals and to recognize clever details that Cousins has included (the lizards changing from green to brown as they sit on the roof of the ark). The story is a bit simple, but the color and detail make the book well worth it. Our son loves chewing on this one more than any of his other books (it's a board book so it's indestructible).
Book Review: My Baby Loves It! Summary: 5 Stars
This book is my 4 month old daughter's favorite!!!. . . and she has read a lot of books, including "developmental" books. She loves the colors. I agree with another reviewer that the text about "wicked people" sounds extreme but she is too young to understand and it is biblically correct.
Book Review: Our son's favorite book!! Summary: 5 Stars
Our son (11 months) has enjoyed this book from the first time we read it to him (very very young) and it continues to be his favorite. The bright colors attracted him immediately. The consistency in the drawings have helped him be able to pick out Noah on each page - his favorite being "Hoorah, the flood has ended!"This has, of course led to numerous (or should I say NUMEROUS) readings of this book, but we don't mind. We find it to be theologically sound and we love that it has had a part in opening the world of books to our son.
Book Review: kinda scary for little ones Summary: 1 Stars
And I quote, "There were also many wicked people in the world. God wanted to punish the wicked people, so he said to Noah..."I shall make a flood of water and wash all the wicked people away."Not exactly the last thought I want my son to have before drifting off to sleep. Kinda paints a scary picture of God to little people. Nice illustrations though.
Book Review: very entertaining Summary: 5 Stars
We have had this book since my son was 6 months old and he really likes all the pictures of the animals-- and I think it is helping him learn to count (even if it is only 1,2). We would recommend this book to anyone who wants their child to know about Noah's Ark.
