Book Reviews of Number the StarsBook Review: A Timeless Tale Summary: 5 Stars
I read a first class book this month, Number The Stars by Lois Lowry, a newbery award winning author. It was very meaningful. A Christian family was good friends with a jewish family during the Nazis invasion. In fact, Ann Marie was a top friend with Ellen Rosen. It is up to Ann Marie and her family to save the Rosen's from being prisoners of the Nazis. This is a book you won't want to put down. It is full of tension that will make you shoot right out of your seat. Ann Marie and her family hide the Rosen's in different places to keep them safe from harm. The Nazis get suspicious but their loyal friendship gets through it. It is a very moving book with an important lesson;friendship is more important then people's differences. I enjoyed this book and I hope you will too...
Book Review: A Touching Classic Summary: 5 Stars
Number the Stars should be on every book shelf of the schools in America and other International Countries. AnneMarie's fight through the terrorizing Nazi regime in Copenhagen during Hitler's Era is a major part of American History, that every child should be informed of. If any child has gone past the age of twelve without reading this book, I reccomend they read it. It is a book that is hard to put down, and you will spend hours currled up on the sofa reading it. I read this book for a school assignment in the fifth grade, and saw it as an American Classic. Ms. Lowry outdid herself with this one, in my opinion.
Book Review: A book review of "Number the Stars" Summary: 5 Stars
This is a must read book. I've read Number the Stars two times. It's a gripping page turner. You'll never want to put this book down. Annemarie and Ellen live with their parents in two small apatments in Copenhagen, Denmark, during World War II. At one point in the story Annemarie was running through the woods to give her uncle a device to help him smuggle Ellen and her parents to a safer place because they where Jewish. Then she was stopped by two soliders and their dogs. Will Annemarie get to her uncle in time? If you like a rapidly intense story you have to read Number the Stars.
Book Review: A book you'll really love. Summary: 5 Stars
I thought the book NUMBER THE STARS was very interesting. It was a book I really enjoyed reading. I recommend this book for anyone that doesn't like reading. This book deserves a chance. You will really enjoy reading this book.
Book Review: A defiantly would recommend kind of book Summary: 5 Stars
It's been a while since I read this book. I am 25 years old and I read this book in the 5th grade for school so that would be 16 years ago... And I have to say this is one of the few books (Ann Frank, where the Red Fern Grows, and Romeo and Juliet were others) that I really REMEMBER and would like to read again at my age now. I enjoyed this book and this is where I really had a sense of what history was about.
