Book Review: A great book about friendships Summary: 5 Stars
Number the Stars is about many dangerous missions that the Jewish people had to conquer. It all started when there was a frienship of a German and a Jew. It was in 1943 in Cpenhagen, Denmark, during World War 2. The news spread out that the Nazi were capturing all Jews in Denmark. The Jewish families were trying to get out of Denmark as fast as they could. Annemarie (German) and Ellen (Jewish) were part of this capturing. Anniemarie's family had to help Ellen's family as much as they could. After hearing the news, Anniemarie's family and Ellen went into hiding at Anniemarie's uncle's house. After being at Uncle Henrik's house for a few days they knew it wouldn't be safe for long. That night they took a boat and decided to take the Jews to Sweden where they would be safe. Will Ellen's family and all the other Jews make it safely to Sweden? Will Annemarie every see Ellen again?

Book Review: A great read that is encouraging! Summary: 4 Stars
"Number the Stars" is basically about a young girl, Annemarie and her family who assist Jews in Denmark to escape Nazi Relocation. I thought the book was very well written and interesting. Every time I read another book about the Holocaust, it just amazes me how incredibly evil we can be as a society, but at the same time I am extremely encouraged by the countless people like Annemarie and her family (although fictional) who put everything on the line to save others. I have read several Holocaust themed books. In my opinion this is not the best, however it is still a phenomenal book and a mandatory read for its genre!
