Book Review: Benardot is a serious author!

I have had the distinct pleasure of reviewing the newest book by Dr. Dan Benardot. His knowledge of nutrition and sport far exceeds his peers. This book is unique in that we now have a book written by someone who not only has the education but also the experience to give us very specific insights into working with "serious" athletes. All too often, educators will write about subjects they may know something about, yet have little to no experience. This is not the case with Dan Benardot. As the Nutrition Consultant and member of the Athlete Wellness Program for USA Gymnastics during the time when gold medals were the norm, Dan gives us the kind of practical skills necessary to work with these special athletes.I highly recommend this text to anyone who is an athlete and to those who work with athletes. It is a MUST for everyone's book shelf.
