My daughter received this book for Christmas from her aunt. This book became an instant favorite of ours. It is a wonderful children's book that adults will love! Mr. Falocner's wonderful use of black and white drawings with the appropriate splash of red makes this book stand out. Of course, the text is equally enchanting! We received this book as a gift when my oldest child was 18-months-old. She is now 5 and I still want to read this to her every day! From the first few pages showing Olivia "wearing people out" to the silly page talking about Olivia combing the cat's ears to the "time out" (where my daugher would shout "mout!" for the longest time) to the "I love you" good night ending, it's a book that every young child and every parent can identify with. We continue to read this on a regular basis and it has become a classic book for our family.
