Book Review: art that was inspired by Neruda's poetry

This is a collection of Neruda's poems that relate to the sea, but is a bit of a curate's egg. The translator's work is excellent and retains the flavour of the Spanish poetry. For each poem is a reproduction of art that was inspired by Neruda's poetry, although not the poem per se. Originally these were in cloth and ink so I guess the limited editions of the work are very nice to have. The poems were recommended by the translator after most of the art was completed.Is the book any good? Well it contains some very good examples of Neruda's work and some nice art. It won't suit those who want a collection of poetry as it lacks context. However, it is an excellent coffee table book with which to tempt your friends into reading. Not a must buy hence only 3 stars.
