Book Review: This book made me want to pack it all in and travel....
Summary: 4 Stars
It's actually been a while since I read "On the Road" but I still remeber having trouble putting it down and even concocting stories to stay home and read it. Also I remember that after reading it I had an overwhelming desire to pack in the high stress job and go out and see the world for a while.It chronicle's Sal Paridise's journey of dicovery of what life in the late 50's is all about. In the meantime he also travels back and forth across the US meeting and re-meeting new and old friends. After reading this I read "The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test" by Tom Woolfe and was amazed to find one of the same people in both. This gave an interesting comparison between the Beat and Hippe generations.
I would recommend this to anyone.
