Book Review: Can a 45 Page Book be Worth $10.00?
Summary: 5 Stars

The answer to the title question is: YES! YES! YES! "treat your own neck" is a great example. In fact, as a lay reader, this little book gave me more information than I expected. I would gladly have paid Amazon.com $10.00 for just the exercises described and illustrated in the book. But knowing more about the why's is also helpful - and getting all this information in condensed form is best for an old guy like me.

I broke both my neck and compressed vertebrae in my back when I was a very young man. I just turned seventy one a few days ago. As you can imagine, these old injuries have been acting up with increasing severity over the years. The exercises in this book have already helped me enough to give me hope for substantial improvement - maybe nearly complete pain control for my neck pain.

My neck pain has always been worse than my back pain. But, after seeing the "treat your own neck" book, I plan to also order the other book, "treat your own back."

Special thanks to the author, Robin McKenzie. I'm sure you will make a mint with your writings. You have a special knack for bringing together and organizing the important factors in neck pain relief. I expect to write the same things about your other book, "treat your own back."

Book Review: Control at last.
Summary: 5 Stars

I have always had a neck problem and headaches for years. Chiropractic has helped some, but I would have to keep going back to them after a while. With his book, I am able to manage my pains on my own. I am able to control my own body. I can keep myself free from pain without having to go to a professional every time. I also bought the book on back pains. That has helped me too.

Book Review: Cured myself
Summary: 5 Stars

I had neck pain along with tingling radiating down my arm to my index finger. Having had extensive experience with clients who needed physical therapy, I was fairly certain I had a cervical disk bulge/pinched nerve. I knew the routine with orthos and physical therapists and wanted to avoid spending both the time on office visits and the money, if at all possible. I stopped my usual exercise routines to give myself time to heal, took anti-inflammatories for a couple of weeks, bought this book and followed it religiously, and purchased an arc4life cervical traction pillow. In a matter of a few weeks, the problem was completely resolved and has not returned several months later. I have absolutely no pain and no restriction of movement. It is vital that you not do more harm than good by overdoing and/or improperly doing the exercises. Of course, if I hadn't seen improvement, I would have consulted a doctor. (BTW, I still sleep on the pillow and highly recommend it. It gets you past that unhappy routine of backsliding in the healing process due to sleeping wrong on the injury. It can be uncomfortable at first, so ease into using it as recommended. It literally provides light traction to the cervical spine when lying on your back and, if you move to the proper location on the pillow, provides excellent support while sleeping on either side.)

Book Review: DJD Neck
Summary: 5 Stars

I formerly had a copy of this book, as well as another by the same author. I loaned each of them to persons with neck & back problems, and never got them back! I think it was because they are so helpful to people with neck and back pain. I recommend this book without reservation, merely cautioning the reader to read it completely before starting the recommended excercises.

Book Review: Excellent
Summary: 5 Stars

I was given this book years ago when in therapy for a herniated disk and found it as useful the second time as the first. It is best to do the exercises in conjugation with approved physical therapy however. A couple of the exercises i did too extreme and aggravated the neck. The therapist helped show me where to stop the movement appropiately.
