Book Review: Low grade Elmore Leonard
Summary: 3 Stars
After reading many Elmore Leonard stories over the years, I was disappointed with the plotting of this one particularly the treatment of the Jack Foley character and the poor resolution and aimlessness at the end.
Sure, Leonard's touch with dialog and drawing his characters and scenes is present, and I enjoyed the ride. But the story literally ran out of gas. Go back to some of the earlier books if you want to see Leonard at his best.
