Book Reviews of OutlanderBook Review: A must read for book lovers! Summary: 5 Stars
This is by far one of the best books (and series) I have read in a very long time! Diana now ranks among my favorite authors, with Jean Auel and Shakespeare! READ THIS SERIES!
Book Review: A pure pleasure to read Summary: 5 Stars
One of the best historical fiction series I have ever read, and one I constantly recommend to friends. I have not met a friend or family member yet who has read the book and not fallen in love with it and the entire series.
Book Review: A romance novel for history buffs and people "who don't read Summary: 5 Stars
I first read Outlander when it first came out in paperback and was hooked! Jamie Fraser became my ultimate hero. When Dragonfly came out, I gave the first book to one of my friends and started a chain of Gabaldon fans at th school I work in. Being of Scottish descent, the history grabbed me. Being a hopeless romantic, Jamie and Claire's story enthralled me. I just wish Ms. Gabaldon would write faster! I have purchased at least four copies of this book and they all seem to disappear (new fans won't give them up!) I heartily recommend this to anyone who loves history, Scotland, and romance.
Book Review: A romantic journey Summary: 5 Stars
This will be one I read many many times. Romance, adventure, drama, and eveything else you could want. The storyline has a time travel fantasy component, but the story really doesn't read like a fantasy novel. I really felt like I went on a journey when I was done and now I want to visit Scotland!
Book Review: A series of books that you will not want to put down. Summary: 5 Stars
I am not usually into romance novels, but a friend loaned me Outlander a few years ago and I became hooked. I laughed, cried and found myself feeling as if I was one of the characters in the novel. I couldn't put it down, and in less than a week I had found that I had read the whole book. I have since read all of the sequels, Dragonfly in Amber, Voyager and Drums of Autumn. All of them are as wonderful as the first book. I will never forget Jamie or Clare, and I am sure that I am not the only who thinks that Jamie is the perfect man.
