Book Reviews of PS, I Love You

Book Review: A good quick read
Summary: 4 Stars

This book came recommended from a friend to read, since I am into Picoult books. I did not know that there was a movie based on the book, and from what I have heard about it I dont want to see the movie, for fear that it will ruin the compassion that I have for the characters. The book was rather easy to read and the story held my interest. I was however disappointed in the ending. I dont want to spoil it, but it wasn't the way that I had expected from the build up of the characters. I would read Cecelia Ahern's other books based on this one. It was captive and moving. I was more interested in the fact that the author was very young when she wrote this and captured the situation and subject matter better than any person at that age can. I would recommend anyone to read this book, it is heartwarming and moving.

Book Review: A must read for any Young Widow
Summary: 5 Stars

I am a young widow and the author amazed me how she could write about this topic so eloquently without having gone through it! The author takes us on Holly's grief journey and it was unbelievable to see the parallels between my journey and hers. A must read for any young widow.

Book Review: ABSOLUTE MUST READ!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is absolutely the best book I have ever read! No joke! And that says alot since I'm an avid reader. You laugh, you cry, and are surprised at the ending. You just don't want this story to end. You feel like you personally know all the characters and my heart is still tugging thinking about them! I have to send copies to all my friends. It's that good!

Book Review: Amazing
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great book (please don't see the movie). You fall in love with the characters. You are flipping through the pages to find out what is going to happen next. A masterpiece of a romance.

Book Review: Awful, derivative, poorly written
Summary: 1 Stars

One has to wonder if Ms. Ahern would have found a publisher for her astonishingly bad novel if she was not the daughter of Ireland's Prime Minister.
The book shows no talent for writing at all. The plot is derivative. The writing isn't merely awkward. It is downright unreadable.
Touted as a best seller, Ms. Ahern should pay restitution to the trees from which the paper was made to print her thoroughly awful book.
If there was an option for zero stars I'd use it.
