Book Reviews of PS, I Love You

Book Review: Seriously....one of the best books ever.
Summary: 5 Stars

I laughed.I cried. I cried some more while laughing. A perfect read. And I will definitely be seeing the movie, because of the oh so sexy Gerard Butler playing Gerry!

You must read this book.

Book Review: Surprisingly Endearing
Summary: 4 Stars

I will admit I am usually a total cynic and hate romantic novels. I usually find them trite and uninspired, but with this novel I fell in love with it. The premis of the novel is sweet. A young married couple is faced with the fact that they are having to say good-bye to each other as the husband is dying. Holly, the wife and main character, is totally distraught until she finds out that her hisband has left her a letters with a series of tasks she has to complete. As she completes the tasks Holly goes through a healing transformation. Certainly not the best book in the world and far from being deep and thought provoking, the novel is still quite moving and I found myself rooting for Holly and she went through her various adventures.

Book Review: Trite and somewhat boring
Summary: 2 Stars

I was really looking forward to reading this book after seeing the movie trailer with Hilary Swank. It looked like a great, original story. So, I was very dissapointed when I got into it. I understand that poor Holly lost her husband, yet she is so self-centered and wishy-washy throughout the story that it substantially took away from the uniqueness of the "gift" left behind to her by her dearly departed husband. This is really just OK, and sort of reads like a young adult novel.

Book Review: Wonderful Read!
Summary: 5 Stars

My friend had borrowed this book before me and finished in one week and told me I just had to read it... Now I know why! I loved this book not only because it had a great story line, but it also really draws you into the book. The characters all have their own unique personalities. This story is not only heartwarming but I guarantee it will stay with you even after you had read the book! The book really gets you to identify and even bond greatly with the main character as she goes through different stages in her life after the death of her loved husband. You can tell how much these two loved each other and how love has a a way of staying with someone so deeply after death. This book brought out many emotions that we all have felt at one time or another. I highly recommended this book!

Book Review: Wonderful Story of Love and Loss, and Learning to Live Again
Summary: 5 Stars

This book was wonderful. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I loved it. I laughed, I cried, and I couldn't put it down. I passed it along to my Mother and Sister and they both loved it too. This book is a definite 'must read' for everyone.
