Book Review: A Lifesaver

I have been struggling with rheumatoid arthritis for three years. Within the last year and half, the minocycline I was taking was no longer doing the trick and the disease became progressively debilitating. My view towards methotrexate was that it would be my last resort, although it was recommended to me by one of the best rheumatology departments in the country. I began to possibly see a connection with the intensity of pain and what I would eat the preceding day, and I asked my rheumatologist about the association with nightshade foods, and was told there were no scientific studies to support it. I purchased this book, implemented a rigid nightshade diet,and I feel like a new person. Rather than viewing disability as my near future, I am enjoying renewed health; and I am no longer on any meds! What a lifesaver.
