Book Reviews of Panther in the SkyBook Review: Great way to find out about the Native-american culture Summary: 4 Stars
This book changed my attitude about history. I realized that all our history books are written by white men from the white man's point of view. I liked the Indians' attitude about ownership of land. God owns the land. God does not draw lines upon the land. The Indians could not understand the invisible lines. Our culture should have absorbed some of their attitudes about respect of nature and only taking what you need.
Book Review: I found this book in high school.. Summary: 5 Stars
and was late for many a class because I was so engrossed that I failed to hear the bell go off! I was taken by suprise when I got to the end, I hadn't noticed how fast the pages went by. Loaded with historical facts but never gets the feel of a textbook, and gives us a vivid picture of the "backstory" of history, the little but important details that don't get into the textbooks.
Book Review: It is like you are there living in an indian village Summary: 5 Stars
I have read this book three times and I love the way the story is told. It feels as if you are in the story. Sometimes, even though you know it is not true, you begin to believe they will win.
Book Review: James Thom Summary: 3 Stars
This book I couldn't really get into but I sure liked Follow The River, in fact I read it some 20 years ago or so and several people in my family read it. We passed it along because of how much we liked it and all these years later I wanted my husband to read it and it took awhile to find because I couldn't remember the name of the book but I googled words like river and starving and Mary (I recalled her name) and it came up.
Book Review: Mr. thom has done it again Summary: 5 Stars
A truly explosive and vivid protrayle of one of the greatest leaders of the shawnee nation. Anovel that shows you, no, makes you feel all the hardships of those days. I couldn't put it down.
