Book Review: Parish Priest
Summary: 5 Stars

Father McGivney is the founder of the Knights of Columbus in which he developed to be based on Church, Family and Work. This book is his life story during the 19th century as written and researched by a couple of fine writers.

Book Review: Parish Priest : Father Michael McGivney and American Catholicism
Summary: 5 Stars

This is an excellent review of the start of the Knights of Columbus and of our founder, Michale McGivney's struggles. It is obvious that the authors did extensive research about the late 1800's and present a reasoned, well written account of daily life of that time in American History.

I believe that EVERY Knight of Columbus should read this book.

Book Review: Excellent Read
Summary: 5 Stars

Parish Priest is an enlightening story about Fr. McGivney, conditions of the Catholic Church in America in the late 1800s and the struggles the Knights of Columbus went through in its infancy. I highly recommend reading this story.

Book Review: Father Michael McGivney
Summary: 3 Stars

Interesting story about the founding of the Knights of Columbus for Catholic men during a time when Catholics were not welcome or could not participate in other fraternal societies. Like most biographies of priests at that time it doesn't tell the whole story of hardships endured, but it was a good enough presentation of that era.
