Book Review: Good technique - not too touchy-feely

I found this book in the library, looking for something I could practice with my "yoga buddy". We are both yoga teachers, and enjoy practicing together, but she's not going to be sitting in my lap and gazing deeply into my eyes, or any of that. This is the first partner yoga book I've come across that isn't intended exclusively for romantic partners. It is more gymnastic than intimate. With a romantic partner, one could easily emphasize the intimate connection, but there are plenty of poses that aren't too "weird" to do with a casual friend.
With some poses, one person assists the other in deepening the stretch, like pulling a person forward into bound angle pose. In some, both people lean against each other similar to how you might use a wall in "flat" standing poses like Warrior 2 or Triangle. In some, one person stacks their pose on top of the other, in an acrobatic sort of way, like doing child's pose in a stack or doing down dog while bracing your feet against the back/hips of someone else doing down dog. (Those seem more acrobatic than yogic, but fun and challenging.) And in some, you are just doing a pose right next to each other, but not drastically changing the pose.
I also love that it gives some advice on dealing with a partner of different height or proportions. (Look at the photo of the authors on the front or back cover. The woman is more than a foot shorter than her husband.)
