This book was not anything if not erotica. If you judge it as such that it was heady and non-stop. A young sexually repressed widow by chance encounters the very gentleman that is being blackmailed to marry her cousin by her pretentious title-grubbing aunt. There illicit and anonymous affair begins on the fist page and it doesn't build up gradually die off after the first time as in so many other books.
The sex scenes were hot and very explicit. None of that endless droning from the likes of Stephanie Laurens where the sex actually puts one to sleep. There interaction was illicit and at times bordered on crude (some of the dirty talk was a little crass and cheesy and actually embarrassed ME!). But it was still as I said before hot beyond belief!
This novel still follows the typical scenario of the heroine healing the hero's damaged heart through her ingeniousness and honest and unrestrained passion. Of course he has never met another woman quite like her (because we know the norm is that women are deceitful and secretive). There was very little context or plot, but the author did do a remarkable job of evoking the very strong emotions of desire, want, pain, love, and passion. I will be buying the next book about Passion's sister, Patience.

I thought with all the hype this books would be terrible. This story had some great passionate parts, great characters and a very good story. Enjoy!

Oh, where to begin! This book was too hot to handle straight from the start, a true page turner. The sex scenes were so steamy that I was on fire reading through them! Oh, and Mark....what a package! Passion's character was strong and not needy, I like that she knew what she wanted and gave with complete abandon. I couldn't help feel compassion for Mark and Passion as the villains' scheming would keep them apart. This novel not only brought me amazing sexual fantasies but to tears as well, you can truly feel the pain and emotions the characters are experiencing. This was my first Lisa Valdez book and I am positive that it shan't be the last! Passion definitely is an excellent read.Book Review: Hot!

Not your typical historical with simpering virgins! This book opens with a case of lust at first sight that culminates in sex in a museum without learning the others names. Lust grows to infatuation to love. Throw in a few selfish bitches who blackmail the hero, a heroine who will sacrifice her happinesss to do what's right, a hero who learns what love is and you have a really wonderful book. It's explicit and occasionally raunchy but always engaging and entertaining. I could have used with fewer repetitions of my two least favorite C words, but the story is so good that I can forgive it.
