Book Reviews of Pay It ForwardBook Review: Would You Pay It Forward? Summary: 5 Stars
A Review by KellyWhen Trevor got a simple Social Studies assignment to come up with a plan to change the world, he never would of guessed how far 1 favor to 3 people would go if each Paid It Forward. Who would have thought a twelve year-old boy with a dimple idea would really touch so many people and truly change the world. This book was amazing, and inspiring. It showed so much about the Human Race, and that people do care what goes on in their world. This book is sort of hard to follow, and it's quite lengthy, but once you start reading it, you can't put it down. Everything does come together in the end. I also liked the characters, they were very well thought out, and each was very dynamic. I would highly recommend this book to people who are looking for an inspirational book with a lot of emotion. This book was an amazing true story that I would read over and over.
Book Review: You Should Summary: 5 Stars
Listening to this inspiringly delightful book, I knew my eyes would demand a share in the wealth my ears had discovered. This funny, bittersweet tale of Trevor and his determination to change the world is beautiful in it's simplicity. Read or listen to this book and 'pay it forward' by recommending it to another...it will change your world...the world.
Book Review: a real "tweener" Summary: 3 Stars
I'm a sucker for utopian, or dystopian, novels. Looking Backwards, Brave New World, 1984, etc. Booksellers see me coming and hang signs out the window with either word. Ok, not really...This is a hard book to get a handle on. It's too mature for the "young adult novel" tag but it comes off feeling like one. There are stretches that are real page-turners and others that make you want to move on to your next book. At times I warmed up to the boy who is the main character and at times he seemed too over-the-top sweet/smart: kindof a Dr. Oliver Swift/Mr. Wesley Crusher thing. Overall I give it the nod for an original, clever concept that adds a dollop of hope into the world.
Book Review: imperfect comment, perfect book Summary: 4 Stars
this is a book about a perfect idea thought by a 12 year-old boy who grew up in an imperfect environment, meeting imperfect people. some chapters are writing about the other people involved in other places. those interviews about them afterwards are of great cinematic feel! it's like a documentary of the boy's life! although it has a sad ending, it leaves great emotions for the readers to think about the idea and also about the world around them. it's really good and worth reading.
Book Review: superdy duperdy Summary: 5 Stars
This book is so touching & it needs major recognition because for a change a kid is trying to make a big difference, and it makes he plot that much more interesting.
