Book Review: Disliked the main character intensely
Summary: 3 Stars
I liked some aspects of this book. For one thing, I thought the writing was excellent and liked the story-within-a-story part about the Shakers. However, I intensely disliked the main character--his failure to answer his phone, his lack of cooking ability, his general disinclination to act. As someone who likes writing and editing, I found the author's tips at the ends of the chapters worthwhile. Bottom line: I wouldn't recommend this book although I concede there were some good things about it.
