This book was twice as long as need be. The story loses its hold with all the dribble in between.
A mom who shoots the person who molests her child is a hero to me. We all know how pathetic and unjust our judicial system is for the victims. Fiction or not, that part of the story intrigued me.
Overall the book is just a dud.

Finished the book wishing for a different outcome for the main character of Nina Frost. She could justify her actions until kingdom come; folks, in real life, she would have had her ice princess behind locked up for life and suffering the consequences of her actions. She reasoned that she did it for her son; as you read on, you will see that Nina was only in it for herself. Despise women like her in real life, dislike characters like her in books. Not the author's best work, her other novels like "Nineteen Minutes" "Her Sister's Keeper" are definite page turners with more realistic and likable characters. Book Review: Best read book this year!

I found this book in the bookstore with a buy one, get one half off. After seeing that it was about child molestation, I was a bit hesitant to read it. I am glad I did! What an awesome story. Trying to stay up with the changes voices at new chapters was a bit tough, but the book was so well written that it overshadowed that minor flaw.
As a mother, I felt total compassion for Nina. Who wouldnt do wrong to save their own child?
I would recommend this book to everyone. Its a awesome read!!
