Book Review: Encore for a classic
Summary: 5 Stars
An absolute classic, and the sort of book that only America created in the 1950's.
With it's vintage feel and retro colours it's sure to delight any opera lover.But I think children would warm to it as well, and probably be begging to go to The Magic Flute, the opera at the core of the story about an opera-loving mouse at the New York Metropolitan Opera.
It's the sort of story that might easily have turned into a Tom & Jerry episode. And it's done with love and real charm here by the Freemans.
