Book Reviews of Peter Pan in Scarlet

Book Review: OK I'm a bit jaded -- ALMOST 5 stars
Summary: 4 Stars

1 star for the random hallucinogenic fantasies at the beginning. 5 stars for the wonderful tale of revenge and betrayal in the middle. 3 stars for the complete nullification of the revenge-tale at the end.

I'm sorry but I can't be more specific without ruining the story. Let's just say that Pan's darker nature is revealed, and then cleaned up to make him OK with the readers again.

Book Review: Peter Pan
Summary: 4 Stars

It's a bird! It's a plane! It's Peter Pan! In the book Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie

there are two main characters, Peter Pan and Wendy. Peter's brave and strong and like's

to fly a lot. I like Peter because he's nice and protects Wendy. I hate Peter because he just

took Wendy to Neverland and expected her to be his mother. Wendy's responsible and

motherly-like. I like her because she's willing to take care of Peter and the lost boy's. I

hate her because she's selfish and she made the lost boy's build her a little house. This

book has exploration and friendship as themes. One conflict is when Wendy wants to go

home and Peter wants her to stay. Another conflict is when the lost boy's want eat this

Contaminated cake but Wendy wouldn't let them. Do you think Wendy will ever get

back home or stay in Neverland forever. The only way to find out is to read the book.

Book Review: wonderful
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this for my husband who is a big Peter Pan fan. He loved it. He is a very widely read and somewhat critical reader and he thought McCaughrean's style was spot on. He was quite enchanted by it!

Book Review: Peter Pan is Back...
Summary: 5 Stars

I wasn't sure of this at first, but hearing how this was a sanctioned sequel and the story behind that got me curious. I'm so glad I'm curious. This version of Peter Pan stays true to J.M. Barrie. It's a bit darker, but then so seems the world these days. My children enjoyed it immensely and think that this is a stellar story.

Book Review: Not a Disney Peter Pan
Summary: 4 Stars

A charming read for Peter Pan fans, but don't expect a Disney type Peter.
True to the originalm- a nice read!
