Book Review: Doesnt work on most CD players Summary: 1 StarsWONT PLAY - VERY Disappointed. Terrific Book - however we can't listen to it OR return it because we ordered it and didnt get around to listening to it until too late discovered that it will only work on MP3 players not any of our CD players - not even the up to date most modern ones which are supposed to play MP3. BIG DISAPOINTMENT and waste of money
Book Review: Have you ever wanted to fly and live forever? Summary: 4 StarsPeter and the Starcatchers is for anyone who likes fiction.
Peter is sent away on a ship with four other boys. Their journey turns into an adventure when they find out that the world's greatest treasure is on a ship. A pirate finds out that the treasure is on the ship and pursues it. Peter meets a girl. Fortunately, Peter pushes the treasure away from the pirate. Their ship sinks when it bangs into a reef. The boys found out soon that the Island is inhabited by a tribe that call themselves the Mollusks. The leader feeds them to a giant alligator, but they escape. When somebody found the trunk, the action heats up.
I rate this book four stars because it was funny, and had a lot of action. For example, Smee is very humorous. Here is a part of the book. Smee said, "What about the Jellyfish?" Stache turned and stared at Smee with a look that Smee unfortunately mistook for encouragement. "I mean the stinging kind," Smee continued brightly. "I've seen grown men cry when they-" "SHUT UP YOU IDJIT," thundered Stache, slamming the desk with his fist. He took a long deep breath, then continued in a calm voice: "You don't name a pirate ship the jellyfish."
I think that the ending could be a little better. The author put the ending in the wrong time. Here is the last sentence. Peter looked at it. And then looked around him- at the lagoon; at the rock where the mermaids lounged; at the palm-fringed beach; at the tinkling fairy flitting over his head; at his new friends the Mollusks; at the jungle-covered, pirate-infested mountains looming over it all. Then he looked at the board again and laughed out loud. "That's exactly where I am" he said. I think that the author should go to the part where Black Stache was named Captain Hook.
I would recommend this book to every fan of Peter Pan. I would also recommend this book to everyone who likes fiction. Lastly, I would recommend this book to people who like pirate stories and action. I would not recommend this book to anyone who does not like fiction.
Book Review: Peter and the mysterous trunk Summary: 4 StarsIf your a reader that likers action and fantasy this book is for you. I think Peter was an awesome protagonist because risked his life to save a trunk. Black Stache is an awesome antagonist besause he could keep his crew loyal even when he's freaking out and yelling. I thought this book was awesome because I got to a lot of points where I could'nt stop reading. But it started to slow down in some parts.
Book Review: An Amazing Book Summary: 5 Stars The amazing story, Peter and the Starcatchers, is one of fantasy and adventure. Each page lures you to go on.
This fantastic book tells of Peter, a brave orphan boy who finds himself seated in the Never Land's extremely dirty deck. He and his four buddies, James, Prentiss, Thomas, and Tubby Ted, are with him. On the first day he is on deck, he meets Molly Aster, daughter of the great Leonard Aster.
Soon, Peter finds himself stuck in a series of adventures involving flying, an extremely powerful thing called starstuff, and extremely vicious pirates whom are lead by Black Stache, the most feared pirate of the waters. He also encounters some very strong savages named Mollusks , some mermaids, and a ambitious crocodile named Mister Grin.
In the end, Peter saves the day by saving Molly and taking the extremely large box of starstuff away from the wrong hands.
If you want to hear more about this mysterious, mythical, and magical story, I recommend you buy it.
P. S.: This book is extremely good and I would give it ten stars if I could. This book is good because of the fun-packed adventure in it.
