Book Review: "Phoenix" just keeps getting better!

Just when I thought the "Phoenix of the Opera" series couldn't get any better, it did just that. "Phantom Death," book 4 of the series, sees the return of not one, but two determined, formidable enemies. One seeks to bring Erik to his knees; the other will be satisfied only with his death. As Erik and Meg face their greatest time of trial, they are aided once again by their friends, Raoul and Christine.
"Phantom Death" brings the story begun in "The Phoenix of the Opera" to a very satisfying conclusion. One of the aspects of the series that I have enjoyed the most is the deepening friendship between the four principal characters. The gradual changes in the relationship between Erik and Raoul, from enmity to grudging tolerance, to peaceful coexistence, and, finally, to mutual friendship, has been especially enjoyable.
