Book Review: "Piecemeal June"

Jordan Krall takes the Bizarro genre and builds upon it. Alot of Bizarro authors like to write in a same vein, but Krall isn't afraid to make a good Bizarro book into just a plain great work of fiction.
"Piecemeal June" is a great first book and while it is a short read, it shows you what Krall has to offer and leaves you wanting more. The story is great and in certain ways it reminds me of Jeff Vandermeer's short, "Dradin in Love", and I mean that in the best way possible.
If you are curious about the Bizarro genre, or you just want a great read that you can get through in one sitting, this is the perfect book for you.
I can't wait to read more of Mr. Krall's work and this book has set the bar high, so I am expecting quite a bit. The only complaint that I have about this book is that it's almost TOO short and I wanted more back story on Simon and the other demension that he comes from.
