Book Reviews of Plague of the Dead (The Morningstar Strain)

Book Review: SImply not enough Zombies
Summary: 3 Stars

The first part of this book was very good; with plenty of the sort of gory action that you buy this book for. During the early pages, the twin story-lines worked well. However, I felt that as the book progressed, one odf the story lines just seemed to fizzle out. The book also turned into more of a traditional military story where the enemy just happened to be people who came back to life. This may suit some people, but I preferred Monster Island.

Book Review: Good read
Summary: 4 Stars

Very good read. Not quite on a parr with World War Z, but still very enjoyable. Looking forward to book 2.

Book Review: the plague of the dead
Summary: 1 Stars

i cannot for the life of me understand anyone who thinks this book is even in the same league as the excellent WWZ, this book started out fairly promising but degenerated into poor story lines with massive holes in you could drive a bus load of zombies through. None of the characters had any depth what-so-ever, the writing started to feel like the author was getting bored with his own work, it never explanined how the whole continent of Africa is quarantined and only manages to have 8m refugees? and why does the destroyer General Sherman gets on head straight for the good 'ol US of A instead of regrouping with the Navy in the Red sea?? i actually skipped the last few chapters and didnt miss a single, predictable thing, including the set up for the next poorly written sequal, surely the author is writing for fun or personal amusement because i cant see how he could make a living from it, i really cant, most dissapointed...

Book Review: An excellent Zombie book
Summary: 5 Stars

A very good book, full of gore and interesting characters and storylines. I dont think its is quite as good as WWZ, as has been discussed for and against in some other reviews, which is of course no bad thing and is in my top 3 Zombie books, just behind WWZ and Tomes of the Dead: the Words of their Roaring.Buy and enjoy.

Book Review: Zombie greatness
Summary: 4 Stars

Again a simple and straight to the point revue.

If you like zombie stories, buy it.

If you don't like zombie stories, buy it anyway.

From the jungles of darkest Africa to small town USA its all there. It was over far too soon. Hurry up with its sequel.
