Book Reviews of Playing With FireBook Review: Hot stuff! Summary: 4 Stars
Our heroine doesn't profess to be super in this thriller from Showalter. She's just an average girl with the usual laundry list of problems and really good cleavage which she's not afraid to use!
One day as she tries to help this nutty guy from the business across the street he slyly dumps a secret formula in her grande mocha and changes her life forever. How's that for gratitude?! When she comes too after the week long illness which accompanies her change into freakishly controlling the elements, a dark demon is standing over her bedside. Oh no not a demon, just a super secretive secret agent sent to nuetralize her! But darn he's sexy, and he doesn't kill her after all. He doesn't exactly help- but still having a guy that sexy hanging around can't hurt.
As you meet the other secret "special" agents, you'll love them! And as our heroine tries on Super hero names like Periodic Table Chick, you'll also enjoy her sidekick - her new buddy on the run, Tanner.
You'll be left out in the cold if you miss this one!
Book Review: LOVED IT Summary: 5 Stars
If you love paranormal romances then you'll like this one! At first I thought it was going to be disappointing but once I started to read it, I couldn't put it down! Belle, the main character, is sharp and quirky. If you like Maryjanice Davidson or Janet Evanovich, give this book a try!
Book Review: Lots of fun Summary: 5 Stars
I loved the storyline. The story just sucked you in and you had to find out what would happen next!
Book Review: Nice, fast-paced and lighthearted read Summary: 4 Stars
Playing with Fire is a nice, quick, paranormal romance read with witty repartee and a lot of verbal and other foreplay. There isn't a lot of "physical action" other than the foreplay. The characters are reasonable and likable. It is interesting in that science has led the way to the paranormal powers. Of course, the science is sneaky and quasi-government. I really liked the book including the style of the writing, plot and the characters. The main characters are Belle (flighty yet deeper than she appears and genuinely caring), Rome (stern, yet fun loving G-man with a wicked humor), Tanner (puppy-like teen) and Vincent (the main bad-guy). Interestingly, the best looking guy is the bad guy and the hero likes the imperfections of the heroine.
Book Review: Non-stop action!!! Summary: 5 Stars
