Book Reviews of Pleasure

Book Review: Hot Hot Hot
Summary: 4 Stars

This book truly shows how much Dickey has matured in his writing. This book is definitely on a totally different level from his earlier books. Nia is a character who is totally comfortable in her own skin. She knows what she wants and goes after it and discards what and who she doesn't. There are lots of twist and unexpected surprises throughout this sensual story. Any reader would get an erotic high from this book no matter what their personal taste is.

Book Review: How Pleasurable It Was Reading This Book
Summary: 5 Stars

As I neared the end of this pleasurable book (smile) I decided to
wait until I got home to finish it rather than finish it on the train
ride home.

To Nia Simone Bijou, thank you.

To Eric Jerome Dickey, thank you.

I have shared in this man's journey from Sister, Sister to Pleasure
with a few books that he has written that I have not read.

Mr. Dickey your writing has grown and "Pleasure" shows your growth
and that is wonderful as you continue to stretch yourself as a writer
and in this book you stretched yourself and I commend you on this
excellent body of work.

This book and Thieves' Paradise stand out and at the time Thieves'
Paradise stepped it up and Pleasure is the one that got hit out the
ballpark.

Nina Simone Bijou mirrors me in so many ways. She is a woman (I
accept the woman that is in me...smile) and her coming to understand
who she is and what she is as it relates to her womanness,
humnanness, sexuality and sensuality.

These things and other things are put into place so as to help her
understand who she is.

She is a writer, from Los Angeles, with Trini roots (I do not have
Trini roots...I don't think I do...lol).

This book is not for everyone as sex is on the menu it is so much more about than the physical act of sex but also one woman's journey into discovering who she is and not settling. Its about empowerment. Its about being open-minded.

As it is with an orgasm this book is mental and emotional and will
take you places internally.

It is a journey that takes you within and hopefully when you are done
you come out refreshed.

At first I did not want to read this book. Forces were not for me in
reading this book. This book is a Zane book. How wrong those voices
were.

I connected to this book in a way that helps me be a better person
and I found someone who I could relate to and know that I am not
alone even in those moments when no one understands why I do the
things I do.

Mr. Dickey, again, I say, thank you for writing a book that touched
me.

Book Review: Huh????
Summary: 2 Stars

This book was probably was one of EJD's worst, no plot, no story line just pages and pages of explicit sex....very Zane-esque...... And the ending was even worse, I still don't understand the purpose of this book. EJD is a great writer I will not be discouraged by this book but please EJD take us back to your original work, the books which made you one of my favorite authors in the first place. Thumbs down!

Book Review: I Love all EJD Books
Summary: 5 Stars

Rarely am I disappointed with EJD. I've read almost everything he has written and this one is so hot - the twins!!!! I wont say another word but EJD has a creative genius I adore. If you don't want to get excited, don't read this one ladies. EJD stretched my erotic imagination once again!!!! Brilliant work, and I'm not even done with the book yet!

Book Review: I can relate
Summary: 5 Stars

This was my first book by EJD and I loved it. I can relate to Nia's experiances and conflict with innerself. This book made me look at myself and my own desires and how I view ME and not worry about the opinons of others. For those who may view this book as porn, may have missed what is being said, so this book may not be for you. One would have to be willing to admit to themselves what desires lie within, and of course after you admit them, decide rather to give in or to deny them.
