I can't say enough about this book. I somehow got a used copy, and I was hooked. Everything from planetary data to solvents to area codes to logarithms to the most comprehensive conversion table I have ever seen... Even the sections that you will probably never personally use are entertaining, and there are footnotes and asides throughout the book that give it personality as well as functionality. I love this book!! I got two, one for me and one for my nephew. He is nuts about it. His parents are getting tired of the unceasing flow of information he now spouts, morning noon and night, from this book.
Whether you need to know the international area code for Zimbabwe, how to convert from ounces to grams,what the tensile strength of steel cable is, or even how hot your chili pepper is, you can find it in this powerful little book.
Maps, guides, instructions for everything, all in a volume you can keep in your glove box ( you'll need one to find out about tire inflation, hydrolic fluids, and how to clean the fish you caught).
I highly recommend this book for adults and kids. They find it fascinating and fun to look through. I plan to buy several as gifts! I hear this is the book that the Mythbusters pull out, when they need to know something. It's great!
