This book is an inspirational compilation of insightful spiritual truths.
Tolle is without doubt a leading author of evolving spirituality in the world today - and his secret ? - an honest and loving approach to explaining what he has drawn from study and genuine personal experience. Encouraging us all to seek something better in ourselves, you begin to feel the truth of his words as they touch something deep inside you, drawing you deeper into consciousness.
In the years to come we may well look upon this book as a clear indicator to the potential of the human being. The more people that read and awaken to this sort of material, the sooner we will be a able to develop a better world society that will naturally have love, compassion, truth, peace and harmony at it's heart.
If you're looking for the next book that could powerfully impact your life, then I strongly recommend you read this along with "A New Earth". Through years of my life I have been searching for ways to get closer to the "one and ultimate" spiritual truth. While there are such gems as Tao and other ancient spiritual teachings and texts, they are often hard to decipher and understand for a modern man/woman. Well, one no longer has to - thanks to The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. He saw through the accumulated debris of human intellectualization of the Sacred, and had a direct experience with what some call GOD, or Source - or whatever you wish to name the higher aspect of Consciousness that all of us come from. He uses simple and easy to understand language (he has a true gift of word) to explain to us that most sacred and significant, that has been hidden from humanity for centuries (except for the select lucky few who, through lifetimes of devotion, were able to get the glimpses of it).
You want to know this "one and ultimate truth" too? You want to not just know it at the intellectual level but also make it a part of your every day and every moment of life? You want to have simple and practical methods that can make your higher spiritual self accessible to you today? Well, this is your book then. I would say that this is the most amazing book that I have ever held in my hands.

This guy is a straight hustler, ala the carpetbaggers of the old West. Christians beware: Paul clearly warns us in 2 Timothy 3 to steer clear of nonsense like this. Just like we have to endure the ease and pleasure in this life, sometimes we may have to endure the pain and hardness as well. No one can truly predict when it will happen. But it is through endurance that we'll find salvation and strength. If you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ don't be hoodwinked by this New Age wordplay, you'll mess around and lose more than you stand to gain.
