A refreshing read with down to earth common sense that most of us grew up with. Wont make the special interest groups who want to run our lives happy. Now the question is, how do we get most of America to read the book and take back the power that has been stolen. Laura Ingraham has hit the ball out of the park again! I've spent the better part of the day reading with interest and renewed hope that there are still champions in the media who are willing to stand up for what is decent and honorable. Without doubt, she has articulated the concerns felt by the majority of Americans. This book will be a battle-cry for Conservatives and conversely, a thorn in the side of the wacko left. Though I have Ms. Ingraham's first book, this is the first book I have read of hers. Extremely well written book. Her beleif system is strong. Some people don't seem to or don't want to understand her message.
Science - should help us not harm us or make us slaves.
Abortion - it is wrong and evil to kill children, even if not out of the womb.
Education - the purpose of education is to teach people - not just facts but how to think. The education system should not be used to indoctrinate children.
The overall message is that in the long run it is up to people to take control of thier lives and environment and make the changes. Do not rely on others. Do not rely on Laura, Rush, Mark Levin, Sean, your Congreesmen and Senators, et al. You - the person - must organize and make the changes.
Her message is simple - get up off your butts and get involved. Because if you do not, someone else will. And sometimes, that person does not have your interests in mind.
Book Review: Addicted to common sense

Laura Ingraham's radio program is described by her as not simply a radio show, but an addiction. Her latest book, "Power to the People," is another example of why those who listen to her and read her books find themselves quickly addicted to common sense. Her cogent arguements put forward in this book are a bastion against the dangerous elements of fringe left that have gone so far off the rails as to imperil some of the core values this country was built upon. Diversity of thought is something to be treasured, but PC state of affairs we live in now causes great concern when one realizes that there are states in the USA where a minor can't get an aspirin from the school nurse without parental permission, but she can get an abortion without her parents ever knowing.
It concerns me that one day one of my nephews will walk into a classroom at Princeton and have the tenured chair in philosophy tell him it would be acceptable to have his uncle's life terminated if he became too much of a burden on society. It is this type lunancy that Laura Ingraham stands against in "Power to the People." Read this book, an you will be addicted to her brand of common sense also.
The elite leftists in America abhor Anne Coulter because they consider her a bomb thrower ( God Bless, Anne. Keep them coming!) They should fear Laura Ingraham because she is a straight-shooter who has the courage and conviction to stand up for what she believes, not matter who may rail against her. Power to the people, and more power to you, Laura. Keep fighting the good fight!
