Book Review: Very boring

I read this book because I saw all the high marks given by other reviewers. Personally, I found it very boring. I read the first half and couldn't continue. I read the last pages, too, but my impression didn't change. This is a failed attempt at writing a novel. I'm a frustrated classical guitarist myself and I understand almost everything the author says about guitar, music and the pleasure of rediscovery of music. However, the story goes nowhere as a novel. If it's not a novel, it's just a frustrated guitarist's supposedly poetic monologue interspersed with anecdotes about famous musicians. I'd rather read their biographies.
