Book Review: Beautiful artwork, okay writing

Perhaps it's because I'm not much of a gamer -- my only exposure to Prince of Persia is the original version I played on the Atari many, many moons ago -- but this graphic novel never quite grabbed me. The artwork is lush, beautiful, and extremely well-done. The story, though, doesn't quite bowl me over. There's nothing wrong with it, per se, it just couldn't grab me. Try as I might, I couldn't get into the tale. Loved the art, but never got into the book. I'd imagine a real fan of the game would have a much easier time of it.
