Book Reviews of Private Pilot ManualBook Review: Worth every cent. Best pilot manual I have ever seen. Summary: 5 StarsThe Private Pilot Manual is fantastic. The only problem I had with the book, in the beginning, was the price. I was not quite ready to lay down that sort of money for a book that appears to have many much cheaper alternatives. I purchased this book used for thirty dollars, it has some wear but all in all is in great condition. It actually appears to have been signed by Chuck Yeager, though I have been unable to verify the signature. The use gives the book a much warmer feel. Don't let all the pictures fool you, this is no children's book. Each colorful and often beautiful image is there to help clarify the topic that is being explained. To me it is very helpful to see what they are talking about. I have seen quite a few other books that just don't do this, they assume you understand. The Private Pilot Manual is packed with useful and important information, like several of the FAA publications put together but more graphic intensive and a bit easier to read. Everything I would expect from Jeppesen. Each section ends with a summary and a list of key terms, as well as questions to help you burn the knowledge better into your mind. A fantastic book, definitely one that every pilot or aspiring pilot should own. I now believe it is worth the full price, it is indeed a high quality text book.
Book Review: Even better than expected! Summary: 5 StarsThis book is worth it's price.Even though I've read the book several times, I keep reading it over and over. It's full of drawings, pictures, tips, and interesting facts. And It's very easy to find specific infomation you're looking for. If you're looking for the best private pilot theory book, this is the One.
Book Review: The Best Summary: 5 StarsThe books color much learning fun and easy. The best choice of all.
Book Review: This is the industry's leading text for private pilots Summary: 5 StarsThis is such a significant upgrade from Jeppesen's previous edition. Clear, concise, and graphically superior to any other book on the market (and I have most of them). I am a commercial pilot working on my CFI and have found it even more useful the second time reading it. If you want to pass your checkride get a reliable, knowledgeable instructor and get one of these books.
Book Review: A must read for the Student Pilot Summary: 5 StarsThis book is a must for pilots training for their Private Pilot Certificate. This book goes into detail about everything from the systems of the plane to learning to map a course, to basic manuevers. The graphics are clear and easy to understand, as the text is as well.
