Book Reviews of Proven Guilty (The Dresden Files, Book 8)Book Review: A solid series that keeps getting better Summary: 5 StarsOh if they could only make movies as well as books. When you watch movie sequels or installments it often dissappoints. (Can anyone say Matrix?) That's not the case in Jim Butcher's latest in the Dresden series. Since Book 1 I've said this a very special writer. You will not find many authors who consistently keep up the blistering pace after so many books. Great job, again! It's a can't put-it-down book. Harry is one of those great character that appeals to many. I just love, adore, obsess over a flawed hero. Harry is that. I like getting more emotional information over what it could have been like for him when he was Molly's age. Good job in introducing a new character(Molly) AND still given us more information about Harry's tortured past.
I thought Harry has evolved greatly as a wizard in this book. He's powerful and vulnerable at the same time. This book bought back most of my favorite characters: Summer Lady, Winter Lady, Michael, Murphy and Thomas. Introducing Rawlings was a nice addition as well.
Now the waiting begins again....hurry Jim with the next one!
Book Review: So, when do we get the next book??? Summary: 5 StarsCause I'm already wanting it.
This book is very good. Jim keeps getting better and better.
I was so glad to see Michael, the Holy Knight and his family back in the picture and the develoments that happen in the family. I was esp, glad to see Charity take a larger role in the book, along with the oldest child Molly.
And any author that has the mail character spouting lines from the moive "Aliens" is going to get kudos in my book.
If you have not read this series of books yet, you really need to! Jim is on a roll, and I can't wait for the next book to get here!
Book Review: A Must Read/ for this one and the whole series Summary: 5 StarsI am delighted that the quality of the stories is holding up in this series. They are even getting better. The hummor and charecter development are both flowing. What is Mouse? What is Thomas up to? Will Murph and Harry ever get together? How will Molly fit in? JIM WE NEED THE NEXT BOOK SOON. OK now back to being serious if you have not picked up this series do so at once, it is a great read and as a wizzard Harry Dresden is way better than that other one (Harry P.). This one is a American classic. I started the series with book four and went back to get book one and worked my way up. This book is not only great in a series though it is great as a stand alone book also. The action is (can I say spellbinding) great, but what holds this together is the characters. Loved the book and it is a definite MUST READ.
Book Review: Proven Guilty: A Novel of the Dresden Files Summary: 5 StarsThe quality of Butcher's books has not diminished throughout the entire series and this is another excellent read. Love all the threads to past events. Would love to see more Thomas and less Karrin, but that's just me and it certainly does not take away from the book in any way.
Book Review: God I love this series!! Summary: 5 StarsI liked the very first book in the Dresden series. With each additional episode it just gets better. I loved this book, thought it was one of the best so far. I particularly like the character development of all of the regulars. Mouse has got to be one of my favorites. It is so hard to wait between books for the next in the series. If I could just control myself enough to read more slowly but, au contraire, as soon as I pick it up I know I am in till the finish. This is a book worth getting especially for those of you who already love the series.
