Book Review: QUEEN: "Quite an Outstanding Concert !"...

For the long time fan, maybe the most outstanding concert of Queen. ¿The reason? It gives a perfect overview of an old days Queen presentation since their first arriving to the RAINBOW Theatre 'till the last concerts in the WEMBLEY stadium in '86. The played material, the costumes, and the performance of the members are really great and supported by the hilarious chatting way of the young Mercury as complement. In one of the last interviews, the singer Freddie Mercury said that the way he looked in those days were ridiculous; but that isn't true. They looked very theatrical and outrageous. That's the way that the orthodox, good old fashion Queen fan like it more, so it's joyful to see the carefull treatment of the performance and the complete of the Queen sound listen when all the members of the band sing together and not only Freddie & Brian or Freddie & Roger, that happened a lot after 1974 with the SHEER HEART ATTACK album. The played songs in this concert were:
Procession, Now I'm Here, Ogre Battle, White Queen, Medley: In The Lap Of The Gods/ Killer Queen/ The March Of the Black Queen/ and Bring Back That Leroy Brown; Son And Daughter, Father to son, Keep yourself Alive, Liar, Son And Daughter (end), Stone Cold Crazy, In The Lap Of The Gods (Revisited), and Jailhouse Rock.
I'm not meaning that the performances after 1974 aren't good, just that the grupal sound of the cuartet sounded great but very different than in the first days... A concert highly recomended. Extraordinary!... Good Luck.
