Book Review: I need more Star Sprinkles!
Summary: 3 Stars
Rainbow Brite is the chosen one who by using her Colour Belt and the magical Star Sprinks is able to bring colour, hope and happiness to the world. She lives with her friends the Colour Kids, flying/talking horse Starlite, Sprites and a host of other wonderful characters in a place called Rainbow Land. Together they all strive to maintain the colour in the world. There are some whoever who only exist to cause disruption to Rainbow Brite and her friends cause. The number one culprits being Murky and Lurky who live in a dank and dreary place just off of Rainbow Land called The Pits. Back in the 80s Rainbow Brite was a popular franchise existing in the form of a cartoon series, a feature-length film, live action videos, dolls, figures, greeting cards, girls clothing and various other collectables.
Although great to see Rainbow Brite back, I must admit that I was personally disapointed with this book which I purchased for nostalgia reasons. The artwork is not the best and there is not much to the story its self.
