Book Review: Left me surprised

Big Finish's latest offering with the team of Charley Pollard and the 6th Doctor "The Raincloud Man" lives up to the potential of their first meeting in The Condemned (Doctor Who).
We see the return of Detective Inspector Patricia Menzies as the Doctor and Charley find themselves back in Manchester looking for the person who is spending coins from 2012 in 2008.
However things take a very fast spin when Charley and the detective meet a time sensitive who correctly recognizes the temporal paradox that is Charley Pollard. It becomes even more complex after the DI leaves and returns finding the Time Sensitive dead and Charley who has a whole lot of motive with the body.
The chemistry between Charley and the Doctor and DI Menzies and the Doctor is very strong and events suggest big changes and resolutions. There is certainly plenty of story and angst. Will Charley have to risk all, even her memory of the doctor to save the world. What about Pat Menzies, will her continued experiences with Aliens be put to a more permanent test? Will the Doctor finally find out what is going on with Charley Pollard and who is the mysterious raincloud man?
All these questions will be answered but likely not the way you expect. It certainly surprised me.
If you are a fan of the 6th doctor make sure you don't miss this one since he will not be featured in any of the next 6 releases.
A keeper.
