Book Review: Athiestic and Homosexual Approach to Raising your Boy
Summary: 1 Stars
I received this book for Christmas along with several others that were much better. I come from a conservative Christian based background and will be raising my son in the same. Whether he wants to be a Christian on fire for God when he is older is his choice, but while he is in my care, I will point him towards the straight and true.
That being said there is absolutely no, as in zero, reference in this book to raising your boy and the topic of God or any higher power to which your boy must answer.
In my mind, they cannot be seperated if one wants their son to succeed in any aspect of life. The author is pretty much an athiestic psychologist who relies on "years" of research and clinical studies to determine what makes boys tick...and according to his research, a belief in God is not one of them.
He does manage to cover the topic of sexuality and remarks that you the parent should be open minded to your boy being a homosexual....after reading this I couldn't help but spew my coffee all over the book. This unfortunately glued the pages together making the rest of the book unreadable. I'm afraid I am not going to buy another copy.
If you have any belief in God, a higher power or any religious beliefs at all, be aware that this book is written by someone with an athiestic, humanistic and homosexual bent. If that is ok with you, then buy the book. Cheers!
