Book Review: A Whole Lot Better Than the Manual

If you're new to Capture NX2, or planning to order it, have this book next to you.
Like most software manuals, what Nikon provides with Capture NX2 is, at best, unfathomable. Sure, the manual contains a lot of information, but it's just that...information. On the other hand, the book explains exactly how to get things done.
One example is regarding Metadata. The manual (at least to me) made no sense whatsoever. It only took me about ten minutes to find and read what I needed in the book and the proverbial lightbulb went on over my head.
No need to read it cover to cover, but I would suggest reading about one task at a time. Not only the tasks that you find confusing but the ones you think you have down. You might just find a faster and easier way to get things done.
I don't know about you, but I'd much rather be out shooting than sitting at a computer. This book has saved me an awful lot of computer time and just might be the best $27 Nikon NEF shooters using Capture NX2 can spend.
