dear lovers of magic,
... is a really wonderful book in which Max Freedom Long not only tries to unravel the secret behind Huna (Polynesian Magic) but also makes a case for the efficacy of magic over all. He is thoughtful, intelligent, and open minded without being naive, and honestly, was quite a bit ahead of his time. So even though this is an old book, its relevance for students of the true magic is still vital today. He never learns the inner secrets of the art/science, nor was he himself, from what he says, a practitioner. However, he was a very devoted and unbiased researcher and gives hints that for the true magician should be enough.
