Book Review: Beautiful people in a cafe...who could ask for more, sigh.
Summary: 4 Stars
The structure of this book is definitely different. That's why I'm giving it four stars not five. It's written like a play or film script, but at the same time, passages between scenes are written like a novel, long and descriptive. Franco also references different filmmakers for each "scene" so you have a very specific idea of the look each "scene" is aiming for. All and all I really liked it. It's funny and it's touching. The comedy is really over the top, and I LOVE the puppets! It's also very visual. Apparently the book was drafted when Franco was a student at Yale and you can tell. I could definitely see that drama school jumping all over something like this.
