Book Review: #1 ON MY LISTMANIA (THRILLERS CENTERED AROUND A MYSTERIOUS ARTIFACT)
Summary: 5 Stars
After reading a number of great and not-so-great thrillers, I created a Listmania, where, in each of the novels, the central mystery hinges around some sort of mysterious artifact (I find this genre particularly appealing).

Now for the review:
Preston & Child write with a flare for description and with a command of the language unparalleled by most other writers. Search Inside the book and find a few passages of description. You'll agree.
The story moves along at a brisk pace, and the characters are extremely engaging. I believe this is the first place we meet Lt. D'Agosta, and I'm certain it's the first place we meet the incomparable Special Agent Pendergast.
For those of you unfamiliar with Pendargast, he is a modern-day Sherlock Holmes.
In terms of plot, the mystery central to the novel is engaging and will no doubt hold your attention to the end. Bad things start happening in the New York Museum of Natural History, and with every page you turn things only gets worse!
Pick up RELIC (or any of the other thrillers that made my list)...you won't be disappointed.
