Book Reviews of Remember Me?

Book Review: An average read...
Summary: 3 Stars

In Sophie Kinsella's "Remember Me?," Lexi Smart woke up one day in 2007 and realized that she did not remember anything the events for the last three years. Her last recollection was the night before her father's funeral in 2004. The Lexi in 2004 had frizzy hair and crooked teeth, and was stood up by someone named Loser Dave. She was unambitious but popular with her friends. Lexi discovered that in 2007, she was a director at the carpet company she worked at, and she was married to a highly successful and gorgeous man named Eric. Initially, Lexi was extremely happy that her life worked out that way but soon discovered that it was not the way it seemed.

This was an okay book for me. I was a little disappointed because I have high expectations of Sophie Kinsella as her work has been just splendid so far. "Remember Me?" was quite average for me and I found that it lacked wit and humor which was I expected from the author. That being said, this was a quick read and it has its sort-of-funny moments with a rather unoriginal plot. That being said, I still look forward to her next book.

Book Review: An easy read with a cute & funny storyline
Summary: 5 Stars

I love Sophie Kinsella and have read all of her books and enjoyed every one of them! This book is no exception. I finished it only a couple of days. I would recommend this book to any fan of Sophie Kinsella! I wish she could come out with books as fast I read through them. :o)

Book Review: Annoying and Tedious
Summary: 2 Stars

I bought this book with high expectations. Although I've never read a book by Sophie Kinsella before, I am aware of the high buzz surrounding the "Shopaholic" series. I was excited to finally get my hands in one of this funny and witty books.
Well, I finished the book just now and I'm disappointed. The characters are all a collage of strange individuals scattered around in a non-believable scenario. I wished there was more depth into their stories. The story itself is far fetched, Lexi smart comes across as annoying, clumsy (I can't ever imagine how she was supposed to be "The Cobra") and I can't find any sympathy for her.
To me, the book is 200 pages too long.
The only reason I gave 2 stars to the book is because it somehow entertained me for a couple of days while I'm sick as a dog with the flu.
Unfortunately, Remember Me? is not so memorable.

Book Review: Another Favorite from Sophie Kinsella!
Summary: 5 Stars

I loved it. I absolutely loved it. It kind of reminded me a bit of The Nanny Diaries, but SOOOO much better! Sophie is a fantastic writer, and she has a way to make me laugh out loud! I recommend this book!!

Book Review: Another GREAT book
Summary: 5 Stars

The characters of Sophie Kinsella books always remind me a little of the Amelia Bedelia books I read when I was little.

This book was so fun and different that the Shopaholic books. Lexi, the main character, was a regular girl living in London, enjoying life with a new job with her best girlfriends and an awful boyfriend. The night before her dad's funeral she trips and hits her head, only to wake up 3 years later in a hospital bed with amnesia of the past three years. It seems she was actually in a bad car accident that had taken her back to that night three years ago and erased her mind of the three years of the most major changes she had ever made in her life.

Over the next few weeks Lexi has to piece together her life, her new friends and family and find out what happen to her old friends. How could everything have changed so dramatically in three years and how can she fix it? It's such a fun story because you get to piece it together with her!
