Book Review: Best Book!

Ok... so I love all of Sophie Kinsella's books, it's like a serious addiction if you know what I mean. I was with my boyfriend looking through Entertainment magazine a week ago and saw Sophie's new book Remember Me? Which was #3 on the top 20 books of the week. He was sweet and surprised me with the book. I picked up the book and couldn't put it down, every single night before bed I read at least 3 chapters. I started it on Monday and finished it on Sunday! I don't want to give away too much, but the gist of the story was about a woman, Lexi, who lost her memory due to a car accident and was missing the pieces of her life for 3 years, from 2004 to 2007. When she steps in front of the mirror for the first time since the accident, she doesn't recognize who she is and her life... I won't tell you more as I will ruin the rest.
All I can say is it's yet another award winning book from Sophie Kinsella, I need a new book fast!!

Loved it! Just simply could not put it down. As expected from Kinsella, this is another fun, light read. The story is captivating, characters are intriguing and dialogues are funny. It's highly entertaining from cover to cover. I was disappointed by her last book (Shopaholic and Baby) but this book has given me back the confidence that she's still got it. I LOVED this book! I read it in 3 days! I liked the Shopaholic series alright, but mostly found them frustrating and a bit redundant, so I was skeptical when I borrowed this book... but was happily surprised! This is the best book I've read in a while, and I was instantly hooked! I didn't want the book to end! Great fast, easy, captivating read!Book Review: Better than her Shopaholics series

Okay, so this is not high art.
Nonetheless this story was cute chick lit that kept me interested. You kind of saw the end coming about a mile away, but the author kept me glued to the pages by using excellent details of each of her characters and I must admit to being more than a little curious as to how the author would meld the past and the present into some kind of plausible scenario.
As I mentioned, the love scenes you could see coming - but the overall story was really fun.
I am always amazed at the fact that althoug I NOW DESPISE the Shopaholics series and cannot stand to read the Madeleine Wickham (also written by Kinsella) - I always really like her out of series books written under Kinsella.
Good purchase.
Book Review: Blah
Summary: 2 Stars
Pretty blah...character-wise, plot-wise, literary-wise and romance-wise. This book did not work for me because it lacked emotional intensity, it read really slow, and I found I just couldn't connect with the characters at all. I added a second star because I loved the part about the sunflowers, but other than that, this book added nothing to my life. Do NOT recommend.
