Book Reviews of Remember Me?

Book Review: Breezy and fun
Summary: 4 Stars

Light as a feather, this novel begs to be made into a romantic comedy, with a younger Sandra Bullock as the amnesia-struck Lexi.

Its premise, about a woman in her late twenties who wakes up and discovers she is three years older and completely different from who she remembers being, is not exactly new. But Kinsella places you inside Lexi's head, which is an interesting and amusing place to be. Witty writing is enough for a book like this, which isn't supposed to be War and Peace.

There are no big surprises, but it is funny and well-crafted and moves with a brisk pace. It's the perfect summer beach read.

Book Review: Can Ms. Kinsella do any wrong?
Summary: 5 Stars

Hopefuly the world will never have to find out! 'REMEMBER ME?' is just another in a long line of thoroughly entertaining, extremely funny and wildly successful books by Sophie Kinsella. In this, her third stand alone novel, we meet Lexi Smart a beautiful and successful career woman with a beautiful home and amazingly handsome husband. Unfortunately for Lexi she has no idea how she got any of it. Last she remembers it is 2004 and she has a dead end job, frizzy hair, crooked teeth and has just been stood up by a guy named Looser Dave. Now she wakes up in a hospital bed only to find that she has amnesia and doesn't remember the last three years of her life including how everything fell into place. But as time goes on and Lexi tries to settle back into her life she begins to realize that all that glitters isn't gold.

I loved 'REMEMBER ME?' it was fast paced and as I said before...hilarious (as usual)! If you've loved Sophie Kinsella's other books this one will not disappoint and if you have not read anything by this amazing author 'REMEMBER ME?' is as good a place to start as any!

Book Review: Clever wittiness
Summary: 5 Stars

I always preview books before buying. I was not sure about the whole "amnesia" preface of the story. I love the Shopaholic books. The book's cover kept drawing me. It appeared fun. It was a great read. I got lost in the characters, the hidden secrets, and the twists that kept coming. I loved it!

Book Review: Combination of 13 Going on 30 and This Body
Summary: 3 Stars

If you've seen the movie "13 Going on 30" or read the book "This Body" by Laurel Doud, you will recognize the plot of this book, but it is still entertaining and a very quick read.

Lexie Smart is unhappy with her job, looks, and love life when she is involved in traffic accident. When she wakes up, she thinks it's the next morning, but it's actually 3 years later and she is gorgeous, thin, has perfect teeth (snaggletooth is completely gone), has a rich husband, an unbelievable high power job and a gorgeous lover on the side. But is she happy? And how did this all come about?

Sophie Kinsella continues to delight her fans with her amusing dialogues between characters and her lovable heroines. This is not as good as the Shopaholic series but as long as you know the plotline is not original, you will still enjoy it.

Reading time - one sitting.

Book Review: Couldn't finish it
Summary: 2 Stars

This was my first book by her and I couldn't finish it. I tried several times to, but just couldn't. It isn't a book that you can get lost in the characters and the story. The plot is too forced and the writing is weak. In the 70 pages that I read, I had several yeah right moments where the dialogue was so fake I laughed.
