I do wish sellers would say where their books are written for. This is definitely one for the US market, despite its title. It's what's on the lower part of the cover that tells the full story: "New York Landmarks Conservancy".
The book has a few interesting points, but nothing that hasn't been said a hundred times in all the "restoring old buildings" books that are bending my bookshelves, and probably yours, in which case you'll skim-read through this book in about fifteen minutes, which includes stopping to make a coffee half way through.
Of passing interest only; browsed in a bookshop and replaced before you move on.
