I didn't want this book to end. It's one of those you could finish in one sitting - it read really fast. It's a wonderful love story, kind of in Bridges of Madison County fashion. Man and woman meet and fall in love but realistically impossible to be together. Plus the war scenerio adds depth and a touch of suspense to the story line. I was preparing myself for a terribly sad ending but without spoiling it, it wasn't as tragic as I was expecting.
