OK, there are some great explanations on how the body creates acid waste from poor food choices. BUT that's it. Poor food choices do create more acid waste but it has nothing to do with the pH of the food. If this were true than eating lots of cooked eggs and meat would alkalize the body because they have an alkaline pH just like Whang's water. The fact is: eating too much cooked eggs and meat CAN lead to more acid waste in the tissues.
Consuming alkaline ionized water, with loads of calcium, will eventually end up in your arteries causing only problems when you get older. If anyone wants to learn about the criteria for healthy drinking water they should be buying all the books on Victor Schauberger, the greatest water researcher that ever lived! If you don't know Victor Schauberger, you don't know a thing about water! Interesting enough he advocated drinking just the opposite, water that was slightly acidic using very small amounts of carbonic acid. He proved he could alkalize tissue faster than anything else known to man by drinking water that was slightly acidic.
This also makes perfect sense in terms of homeopathy. If like cures like, as proven in homeopathy over 200 years ago, then drinking water that is slightly acidic (NOT alkaline!) would in turn eliminate excess acidic waste in the tissues. What about all those testimonials you say? It is a fact that placebo can makeup 40% of claims. But the obvious truth is: all of these users were drinking "MORE" water which that in itself gives great benefits, as proven in "Your Bodies Many Cries for Water" by Batmanghelidj.
All those people drinking alkaline water should do their home work instead of blindly jumping on some band wagon with a fool promoting his products.
